-> My driving test, on the other hand, I fucked up. 100 metres before we were back in the examination center I didn't let someone pass that I should've. I wasn't really concentrated anymore and I didn't see him. Blaaaagh.
Anyway, I'll have another go next week Friday. I think I should be able to pass then.

->I'm going to the Belgian coast this weekend. Just to relax a bit, there's not really much entertainment there but it's still nice. I just hope the weather will be a bit decent.

->Just one week and a half of vacation left.

Edit: I got a haircut today. Everyone says it looks good, but I think my bangs look ridiculous. ( Picture proof. )

Thanks to everyone who responded with such lovely spam yesterday! It definitely made me feel better.

I've been mindlessly watching clips of Kerry Weaver on youtube for the past two hours or so. There isn't even anything good on there :( I want like, clips of the entire Kerry/Sandy storyline or something, but I didn't find 'em.
Do people expect me to actually sit through the entire series or something to watch that? lol

Colour me shocked!

So, I saw the miniseries in two parts. Watched the first part yesterday evening and then the second part at noon today. I have to say I'm not wildly excited about it yet, but I definitely see the huge potential of the episodes to come.
It was just a lot of explaining and background story they had to establish, and at times it felt a bit rushed, imo. I had some difficulty keeping up with everything and understanding certain things.
And it took me a long time to start seeing the characters as individuals. There are so many of them, and they all kind of look the same in the beginning, with the uniforms and all.

Have to say, favourite character so far is definitely Starbuck. Most hated character: that supposed genius guy Gaius Baltar (I think that's his name?)

Just a quick question: ( again, spoiler )

So yeah, definitely excited to see more of BSG. I think I've found my new show!

I will also need to find a good BSG icon, I think. But I'm scared to go searching because I'll get spoiled.

I bought the first season of BSG today! I'm a bit confused though. On the first disc, there appears to be only one episode. But it's three hours long? Is that right? It's labeled as "miniseries" on the box.
And is the second episode named 33? Because that's the first episode on the second disc. Idk idk, I just thought it's kind of weird.

-> ATTACK OF THE ALLERGIES!! Seriously, I've been sneezing and sniffing all day. It's tiring me out.

-> So, remember my crush? Well, that all kind of amounted to nothing. When I saw her again after my exams, the crush was kind of over. Not completely, there was still a tiny spark there, but nothing like the way I felt before. Plus, she was interested in someone else by that time. I guess I'll never know if the feeling was reciprocated or not. Anyway, I've decided never to say anything about it because the tiny bit of longing I still have left is definitely not enough to risk our friendship over.

-> BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! I want it! Now that we've finished LOST, my brother and I want to start watching a new series. And the first thing we though about was BSG. He's seen some random episodes here and there, and he said those were really good. And of course, I've been hearing nothing but praise about it from half my flist.
We were in the store a couple of days ago, and I saw the first season for 18,99 euros. A very good price indeed. We didn't buy it, but now I wish we had. I think next time I'm in town I'll definitely buy it. If my mom is willing to pay for it, that is.

-> I am stressing out over getting my driver's license. Being me, I've procrastinated so much on learning how to drive that my temporary license now expires October 2nd. I still can't drive well enough to be able to pass the exam. Now, we went to the centre where they take the exams to make an appointment. Turns out they're fully booked already. I'm now on a waiting list, so if someone cancels their appointment I could still go.
Now, a day after they put me on that waiting list, the woman from the driving school where I've taken two lessons calls. To ask if I'd like to make an appointment for my driving exam.
So now I have an exam scheduled for Sept. 18th. Plus I'm still on that waiting list.
Thing is, I really didn't want to take the exam with the driving school. It's not your own car, plus I don't like the driving instructor. He makes me incredibly nervous.

I don't wanna gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! D: I'm so scared.
But I guess I'll have to, because if I let my temporary license expire, I'll have to take the theoretical exam again and I reaaaally don't want to study all that bullshit again.

-> Huh. Apparently there was a meteor or a fireball in the sky here yesterday evening. Shame I wasn't outside to see it.

There's a post over there about Bob Dylan. He was apparently roaming around in a city somewhere, and some people saw him walking in their yard. So they called the cops. A police officer responded to the call, asked Bob who he was. So he said "I'm Bob Dylan". But the officer didn't recognize him, and Bob didn't have an ID on him.

Now half of the people commenting on that post are like "OMG HOW CAN YOU NOT RECOGNIZE BOB DYLAN HE'S A LEGEND 11!!!1"

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Bob Dylan is a pretty shady looking guy. And hell, I wouldn't even know what he looked like if there hadn't been an article accompanying the article.

Example of some of the comments:

Person 1: why would someone who doesn't listen to bob dylan go out of their way to know what he looks like at this very point in time

and "he's bob dylan" isn't a valid answer

I completely agree with this person. But then someone replies the following:

Person 2: are you serious? he is a cultural icon. that's like saying 'i don't listen to michael jackson why the fuck should i know what he looks like'?

HE'S BOB DYLAN. and yes that's a valid answer.

LOL how is that a valid argument? Hahaha this is so completely ridiculous. Why the fuck SHOULD anyone know what Michael Jackson looks like? lmfao.

I ran a red light today. Completely by accident. I am mortified D: I seriously can't understand how I managed to do that.

I have a problem. I have a free LJ account, so sometimes when I want to track a certain thread in comments, to see if someone replies to my comment, I have to "subscribe" to that thread. Well, apparently now I've reached my maximum amount of subscriptions.
Normally, you can just go to your settings and delete your subscription to certain threads. But now, I can't reach that page anymore. I always get an error when I try to open it.
HELP?! :/

It's a pain in the ass, not getting notifications when someone replies to your comment. I always have to go back to people's journals to see if they've replied, but I can't keep doing that.

I realise I've been like the worst LJ friend in existence the past couple of weeks. But I've just been so busy!

Just a real quick update to let you all know I'm still alive :)
Had my first exam today, and I did well! Yay!
Now I have just one day to study for the next one, so that will be hella stressful.

As for fandom-related news, I recently downloaded the entire 5th season of LOST and I'm now watching it again with my mom and my brother. We're going to try to watch just one ep per week, but I'm not sure if we will be able to stick with that.

It's that lovely time of year again... Exams :/
So you probably won't see me around LJ for a good while. I hope I can make it 5 weeks without LJ, but I severly doubt it. We'll see.
So anyway, if you don't hear from me for some time, don't worry, I don't have the swine flu.

Btw, I didn't sleep AT ALL tonight. I think I drank too much coffee and tea yesterday evening :/ That normally never happens to me, that I can't sleep because of something I drank. It was awful. I think that literally the most sleep I got undisturbed was 20mins or so.

Oh and of course! A very very happy birthday to 15_marie!!!
